About the Project

Refurbishment of BBC Bristol’s headquarters, covering multiple floors, along with the courtyard and basement areas. The works focused on upgrading and reconfiguring existing services, introducing new systems, and improving overall building performance while working within the constraints of an existing installation.

Delivery & Integration

A key part of the project was working with what was already in place. Existing MEP systems were retained where possible, which required careful assessment and adaptation to ensure they could support the new layout and perform reliably alongside new installations.

Bringing old and new systems together in a way that worked both technically and practically required close coordination throughout. The completed space reflects that balance, with improved functionality and systems that are better suited to ongoing use.

Project Overview

The project involved reworking an existing CAT B environment across several areas of the building. This included relocating existing fan coil units and introducing new air conditioning systems to better suit the updated layout. Alongside this, a new building management system was installed to bring greater control and visibility across the building’s services.

Electrical and public health elements were also upgraded as part of the refurbishment, including lighting, power, UPS systems, and fire alarms. The aim was to modernise the space while ensuring everything worked together as a single, coordinated system.
